The 8th Graders, our JSS Pioneer Class are this Wednesday’s (31/1/2024) SPELLING BEE CHAMPIONS!

Our Inaugural Spelling Bee of the Term was such a delight to watch! We were treated to a healthy display of cutthroat competition by the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Graders.

The roller-coaster of emotions saw our dear students go from anxiety and uncertainty to joy, from relief to disappointment then to laughter, and we didn't imagine there would be tears as well. But there they were, flowing freely. Thankfully, they were quickly replaced by laughter.

The celebrations were of a kind as classmates cheered their representatives. It seemed as though we had a cheering competition as well!

The Grade 7s who took an early lead and held it through the competition reluctantly conceded defeat at the knockout stage! They are definitely a class to watch out for!
We can’t wait for the next Spelling Bee for the pace has been set and it can only get tougher and better!
