Our children at St. Francis Moto Hope Center and Academy are reading.
They had their March "Once upon a time..."- with Verarita session on 27/3/2018 in which they confidently shared and discussed the books they read in the month of March. Every narrator had the chance to ask his/her listeners questions on the stories they had told and play the roles of their favorite characters while explaining the moral of their stories.
The grades 4 & 8 were very competitive and eager to teach and learn in the extremely exciting afternoon event under "the readers' tree."The thematic concerns and moral of the stories were centered around environmental conservation, hard work, discipline, self awareness and appreciation and social ills.
We strongly believe that readers are leaders and are very proud of our children for embracing a reading culture! BRAVO to our March Book winners: Nelly Bosibori (G4), Yabesh Angwenyi (G8), David Njane(G8), and Lucy Wamaitha (G8).
The next academic term's sessions will accommodate all the grades 4,5,6,7 & 8 students in the planned Reading/Writing/Storytelling Programs. We purpose to use the beauty of books to make learning exciting!
