What a lovely way to start the second half of the school term after our recently concluded Half Term break! This morning (5th March 2025), we had a solemn and beautiful Ash Wednesday Holy Mass at our center, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Xavier Muturi, of the St. Mary’s Major Seminary.
Fr. Xavier calmly and patiently broke down Ash Wednesday and the Lenten Season into bits and pieces that even our youngest learners could grasp.
The ashes on our foreheads today remind us of our mortality and are also symbolic of grief- grief from the sins we have committed.
For Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. A season of Penance, Reflection, Fasting, Prayer, and Alms giving!
From all of us at St. Francis Moto Hope Center & Academy. We wish you a Blessed and Fruitful Lenten season!
